Star Plastics Asia Pacific is Star’s affiliate in Shandong, China, and the exclusive licensed manufacturing facility for Star Plastics products throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Star operates a modern manufacturing facility featuring a 7,600 square-foot production space, nine compounding lines, a full-service laboratory and warehouse. Soon, we will move into a brand-new plant in Shandong which will have 14 production lines and 130,000 square feet. Our technical capabilities span a wide range of polymers, including PC, PC alloys, ABS, PP, PBT/PET, TPU/TPE, and PA—allowing us to deliver tailored material solutions for demanding global markets.
Since our founding in 2007, Star Asia Pacific has partnered closely with customers to develop sustainable, high-performance materials that meet evolving regulatory, environmental, and application requirements.
In collaboration with our partner Compal, we were honored with a CES® 2025 Innovation Award for introducing a bio-based resin which includes pulverized oyster shells—the first computer product to receive this distinction for biomaterials.
Star Asia Pacific was also the first compounder in the region to manufacture materials incorporating ocean-bound plastics. Today, we offer a broad portfolio of recycled solutions, including ocean-bound plastics (OBP), post-industrial recycled (PIR), Information Technology Equipment (ITE), post-consumer recycled (PCR) grades and recycled bio-based content (BIO).
