Polcarbonate (PC) a very tough polymer which is naturally amorphous and transparent. It can withstand significant impacts much better than more commonly used polymers. In fact, PC is twice as strong as ABS and PVC, and is sometimes used as a replacement for metal, glass and other materials.
PC is a group of thermoplastic polymers that contain carbonate groups. In addition to its toughness, it also has:
- Great temperature resistance
- High chemical resistance
- High dimensional stability
- Good electrical properties
